Espoo, Finland – Nokia today announced it has signed a comprehensive 5G deal with Claro Argentina (Claro) to deploy 5G infrastructure across the country. The agreement will cover the first phase of 5G implementation in the country, reaching Argentina's largest cities.
Telecom Argentina is already demonstrating this commitment by introducing private 5G solutions, leveraging network slicing capabilities on its recently deployed core network in Buenos Aires. These private networks are already making inroads, with approximately 25 deployments reported across vital sectors like mining, oil, ports, and agriculture.
This strategic investment in data centers ensures that businesses leveraging Telecom Argentina's 5G capabilities will have the robust computational backend necessary to process vast amounts of data and deploy advanced AI models effectively.
This includes base stations, baseband units and its latest generation of Massive MIMO radios, delivering extensive, superior 5G capacity and coverage, as well as enabling easy deployments. 5G technology is set to transform a number of vertical sectors in Argentina including manufacturing, and oil and gas, among others.
